Summary: From the first moment we were welcomed into the property by Claude, we knew we were going to have a fantastic week - a large, extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated villa with a beautiful garden and a superb pool with jacuzzi. The photos of the property are good on the website, but the villa is even better in real life. The property is a short walk down the hill to Chateauneuf de Gadagne, a small but very pretty hilltop village 12km from Avignon where you will find all you need. Claude also very helpfully pointed out local supermarkets in the area (max 10 minutes drive). We loved the American fridge and ice maker, the abundance of kitchenwares, the sound system, TV and of course the BBQ on the terrace. We spent most mornings/evenings having breakfast or dinner at one of the large tables either on the terrace or in the secluded garden which offers views through the trees to Mt Ventoux and offers a good mix of sunny and shady areas. During the week, we (5 adults and two kids, 13 and 11)) enjoyed trips to Arles, Les Baux, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Pont du Gard (a swim in the river below the Roman aquaduct is unmissable) Chateauneuf du Pape, Bonniere (Luberon), and Avignon. Thank you again Claude for an excellent week! Highly recommended and we really hope to return soon!
