Negative: Our family of four stayed at this property during peak season in August 2025. It’s a fantastic location for immediate access to the beach, promenade, and vibrant town for plentiful cafes, restaurants, market and shops. The kitchen has everything you need. However, the downsides are: The property had evidently had a very cursory clean prior to arrival, but the shower had not been cleaned properly with sand and insects in the tray. There was one toilet roll left and no soap in bathroom or kitchen so bring your own! Overall it is dirty with mould and cob webs everywhere. It requires a full deep clean to be guest ready. The pull out sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable and we spent the week sleeping on the mattress on the floor. The view is a brick wall but it’s pleasant to hear the sea in the morning! We have stayed in St Jean de Luz multiple times over the last 10 years and this is the only accommodation we wouldn’t consider booking again.

Summary: Amazing location, let down by dirty, outdated accommodation
